Product Description

Diamond Drill Bit For Pearls
Marbles, Fused Glass and Cabochons

The most popular drill bits are the ones used for drilling sea glass and making jewelry. Their one drawback is the length of the head. The head is about 3/8" long. If your drilling anything thicker than 3/8" you are out of luck. The 1/8" shank won't fit in the 1/16" hole that you're drilling. The bit stops and so does your work.

Our manufacturer now makes 3 drill bits with a shank diameter a little smaller than the head diameter. This means that the shank will slide in the hole and you can keep drilling.

These deeper drilling bits are ideal for pearls, glass marbles, fused glass, and cabochons....anything thicker than 3/8"!

This advantage is also it's disadvantage. The shank is thinner so it will slide inside the hole you're drilling. Thinner shank means more flexibility and a shank that will bend if you apply very much pressure. With these bits you can easily bend the shank or drill a hole that "bends" and doesn't exit exactly on the other side of the glass.

We ecommend these bits for spot usage. You shouldn't plan to replace all of your 1/16" jewelry bits with this bit.

Threee sizes are available: 1/25", 1/16" and 2.0mm. You can mix and match sizes to get the 10 drill bit discount.
